Eka Design & Print Specifications

We work on a PC platform but Mac files are usually accepted depending on font compatibilities.

Preferred Programs: Corel Draw (to V. (Version) 12), Adobe Photoshop (to V. CS2), Adobe Ilustrator (to V. CS2), Indesign, Acrobat (to V. 6.(Press Quality)
Microsoft Office Applications can only be accepted for digital printing, we cannot accept Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Publisher files for offset printing.

For artwork supplied by the customer our specifications need to be adhered to, otherwise EKA Design will not accept any responsibility for printing errors. For changes to incorrect artwork supplied, artwork charges will be incurred.

Files may be accepted by email, CD, disk or memory sticks.

Paper Sizes: DL 99x210mm
A6 148.5x105mm
A5 148.5 x 210mm
A4 210 x 297mm
A3 297 x 420mm
A2 420 x 594mm
A1 840 x 594mm
A0 1189 x 840mm

DIGITAL PRINTING – Images to be at least 150dpi at 100% (300% dpi preferred)
Bleed – 4mm all round
Page sizes up to O/S 320mm x 450mm
All fonts to be turned to curves (outlined)

OFFSET PRINTING - 300dpi at 100%
Bleed – 4mm all round
Full Colour Printing – CMYK only, no spot colours or RGB
All fonts to be turned to curves (outlined)
Black text and black strokes should be “overprint” (not necessary on a white background.

WIDE FORMAT PRINTING – at least 300dpi – up to 800dpi.
